If an Afghan national does not have a Birth Certificate and would like to obtain one, the Consulate General issues a Birth Certificate for him/her. Please read the following information and instructions carefully.

• The Consulate General in Munich is pleased to further facilitate the service for issuance of birth certificate to the Afghan citizens through postal platform, to avoid the appearance of Afghan citizens physically at the Consulate General, unless it is needed or called by the staff of Consulate General for further requirements or in person interviews.
  
  Required Documents:
      1- Complete Application Form
      2- Copy of the payment receipt 
      3- Copy of Passport 
      4- Copy Tazkira and verified Tazkira by Ministry of Foreign Affairs 
      5- German ID/Ausweis
      6- Two biometric size photos

  APPLICATION Form: 
  The application must be filled carefully for each applicant, with special attention to name and surname’s spelling, other details and accurate current address. 
  
  Documents Postal: 
  Filled application form, copy of the German ID/Ausweis, copy of fees payment receipt, copy of passport, copy of verified Tazkira and two biometric size photos for the issuance of birth certificate along with the other required documents stated above must be posted through an insured postal service to the Consulate General on the below address:
  
  Fee: for a single birth certificate 15 Euro and in case of post, please send 8 euro additionally for postal fees.

  EXPRESS/REGISTERED SELF-ADDRESSED RETURN ENVELOPE: 
  The applicants are required to provide an Express/Registered self-addressed envelope while sending the aforementioned required documents. The Consulate General will use the Express/Registered envelope to send your birth certificate to the designated address provided on the envelope. Please note that all other types of envelopes will not be accepted. The applicants are also required to note the “Tracking number” of the Express Post to enable them to track their post.
